The Northampton Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from for the Joseph H. McDonald House Elevator Modernization for the Northampton Housing Authority in Northampton, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by B Squared Engineering, LLC.
The Project consists of: Comprehensive Modernization of Two Basement Traction Passenger Elevators.
The work is estimated to cost $600,000.00.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of Elevators.
General Bids will be received until 12:00pm on Thursday September 23, 2021 and publicly opened, forthwith.

General bids and sub bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Northampton Housing Authority.

Bidders may obtain one full paper bid set from the Northampton Housing Authority for a refundable deposit of $35.00 made payable to Projectdog Inc. in the form of certified check or money order. The full amount of the deposit will be refunded to all responsive bidders returning the Contract Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after date of general bid opening. Otherwise, the deposit will become the property of Projectdog Inc.
Bidders requesting their refundable paper set to be mailed must supply a non-refundable shipping and handling fee of $35.00 payable to Projectdog Inc.
